                   البابا يوحنّا بولس الثاني يلّح على الشباب بأن يعيشوا العفّة
                  في أحتفال بعيد القديسة ماريا جّوراتي (شفيعة العالقين في القباحات الجنسية)
                  مدينة الفاتيكان في 7 تموز ، 2002 ألحَ البابا يوحنّا بولس الثاني على الشبيبة ،
               قبل أسابيع من يوم الشبيبة العاليم في مدينة تورنتو، كندا، بأن يعودوا ويكتشفوا قيمة
              العفّة وعيش حياة داخلية بأحترام مشترك وحب صادق ." في خطابه للمؤمنين الذين
              تجمعوا في ساحة القديس بطرس في روما ذكّرى البابا مثل القديسة ماريا جّوراتي
              ( 1890-1902)، فتاة قتلت بعدما رفضت ضغط جنسي من الشاب، ألسندرو سرنالّي،
             شاب منذعج حاول في بعض الفرص إغراء ماري جوراتي ، عندما رفضت تسليم نفسها ،
             طعنها بالسكين تكراراً . فقالت له "إذا خطئت تذهب إلى جهنم..."، وقبل وفاتها سامحته.
             وبعدما ظهرت له في حلم بالسجن تصلي له، تاب وبعدها عاش حياة مثالية ، وكان موجود
              يوم تقديسها في 24، حزيران ، 1950. وشرح البابا "القديسة ماريا جوراتي مثل للأجيال
             الجديدة ، المهددت بعقلية نقص الإلتزام ، التي تجد صعوبة بفهم الأهمية التي هي أبداً غير محللت
             للنزول أو التسوية ، كذلك القديسة ماريا جّوراتي كانت فقيرة وينقصها التعليم المدرسي ،
             والتي لم تكن عن عمر 12 سنة بعد ، كان عندها شخصية ناضجة وقوية ، أساسها التعليم
             الديني الذي حصلت عليه في العائلة ، وأضاف البابا."هذا أهلّها ليس فقط للدفاع عن
             شخصيتها فقط بالعفة البطولية ، ولكن المغفرة لمن قتلها." وأكد  قداسة البابا بعد الصلاة
             الظهر الربّانية "إستشهادها يذكرنا بأن الكائن البشري لا يكتمل بإتباع الدوافع المُبهِجْة ،
             ولكن بعيش حياته بالحبّ والمسؤولية،" وقال البابا للذين تَجمعوا في ساحة مار بطرس
            " أعرف جيداً كم أنتم يا أعزائي الشباب ذو شعور حساس لهذه المثال " "على أمل اللقاء
             بكم في تورنتو خلال أسبوعين ، اليوم أرغب أن أكرر لكم : لا تسمحوا لحضارة امتلاك
             الملذات أن تُسْكّن ضميركم " وختم البابا "كونوا متيقظين وحُرّاس مُتَيقِظين ، لكي
             تكونوا أبطال حقيقيين لأنسانية جديدة .

PRAYER FOR THOSE FIGHTING PORNOGRAPHY

 Oh Lord Jesus Christ, protector of souls, mercifully hear our prayers for protection against the wiles of satan and his followers who seek to entrap us with the snares of pornography and lust and vice.

Oh Jesus, grant that we may boldly step forward to defeat these enemies of men’s souls, through the power and protection of Your Most Precious Blood, offered for us on the Cross.

Lord Jesus, we beg the conversion of all who pander to the weaknesses of men and women through porno­graphy. Bring these and all your people to their final home in Heaven.

Virgin Most Pure, pray for your children here on earth who must face temptations thrust on them by evil men.

St. Maria Goretti was born in Anacona, Italy, October 16, 1890. She died in Nettuno, Italy on July 6,1902 following an attempted sexual assault by Ailesandro Serenelli.

Serenelli, aged 19, repeatedly tried to seduce Maria and threaten-ed her with death if she revealed his designs. On July 5, 1902 Maria repulsed his advances and he stabbed her re­peatedly with a dagger after she said, “No, God does not wish it. it is a sin. You would go to Hell for it.’

Before she died, she forgave her attacker. He was jailed and eventually was converted.

In the book In Garments All Red, Father Godfrey Poage explains that Allesandro was addicted to porno­graphy. On page 64, Father Poage says, “He went regularly to a news­stand, and came back with a bundle of lurid magazines. He would then lock himself in his room and would not come out the rest of the day. This brooding had an evil effect on him.”In the magazine Divine Love, a further explanation is given:

‘Motor images, started in the mind by viewing such pictures, are almost impossible to control, once they have started. Allesandro admitted that it was such motor images, caused by contemplation of pinup pictures (from magazines), that drove him to murder eleven-year-old Maria, because of her heroic resistance to his advances. He could not control himself.

Later, offering himself as an example to the world, Allesandro stated: “I beg pardon of the world for the outrage I committed against the martyr Maria Goretti, and against purity’. I exhort all to avoid immoral displays, and all dangerous occasions that can. lead to sin.”

St. Maria Goretti’s feast is cele­brated on July 6.

 St. Maria Gorett, Model of Purity, help us to follow your example in forgiveness of others and rove of G3d; pray to God that we will be successful in our daily fight against the evil forces of pornography and temptations of the flesh; and ask God to give strength and wisdom to those who battle against the satanic forces of evil, that they may triumph for God and the salvation of souls.
