Crisis care centers

Pastoral Care

Activities that save a pregnant mother from a deep and certain wound and the imminent death of her child. These are crisis care centers for pregnant women, that is, for those women who have the idea of killing their child through abortion.

I started talking about the mother first, for many reasons, are
o            First, it is not us who save the child from death, but the mother. All we do is free her from the evil thought of abortion, because this thought is evil and not from God. And when we help her, she saves herself, and saves the child about to be born, from abortion.

o            Secondly, know the reasons that push this mother to resort to abortion and talk about them first and help her overcome the obstacles.

o            Providing information to the mother about the physical, psychological and spiritual danger of having an abortion .

o            Showing pictures of the baby in the womb and showing an ultrasound image with a doctor or specialist for the mother to see her baby about to be born. After seeing pictures of their baby, 90% of pregnant women in the United States changed their decision about abortion .

o            A mother in a pregnancy crisis uses her heart, not her conscience. That is, anything that threatens her existence creates confusion and fear of pregnancy in her. We must dispel her fear and encourage her to welcome the child alive and to love, serve, protect and care for him .

o            Surrounding the mother with psychological, moral and material support and showing our love for her and her child.

When we save the mother and dispel her fears, we save the child.

We do not go to all pregnant women and tell them not to abort. We only go to women who are going through a pregnancy crisis, that is, thinking about abortion due to the psychological and spiritual struggle between the conscience and the soul. This comes from Satan, not from God, because God sent the gift of a new life in his image and likeness, but this gift is rejected. We must make the mother and father love, serve, protect and defend the life of the child, because the mother cannot be separated from the child without great pain, and when one hurts, the other hurts. If the child is torn apart by abortion, the mother hurts psychologically, physically and spiritually.

St. Gabriel Project:

St. Gabriel Project is a parish-wide network that pools human and material resources to serve mothers experiencing a pregnancy crisis with an abandoned child, helping them choose between childcare or adoption, and creating an environment and community that welcomes the vulnerable child about to be born by providing moral and material support to the mother and father.

o            Establish a life committee in the parish, region or city in which we live to collect information about human capabilities :

o            From a gynecologist (who is pro-life) and contact him to join this network

o            From a lawyer in the parish, defending the right of the mother and child to a dignified life to protect them.

o            Offering advice to women experiencing a pregnancy crisis, about the stages of pregnancy and the risk of miscarriage.

Gathering material capabilitie

o            Create a fund to help women and families experiencing pregnancy crisis .

o            Collecting donations from the parish, including clothes for children from one day to two years old, collecting used strollers and beds for infants from parents whose children have grown up, and everything the child needs in terms of care after birth, such as milk and diapers … etc.

o            Announcing this project to all members of the parish and the region, we tell them that help is available .
